A tunneler equipped with a Galibert’s respiratory device is progressing in a mine gallery full of noxious fumes due to explosions. The Galibert’s respiratory device was a sheepskin, initially filled with fresh air, wherein the tunneler breathed in closed circuit by means of two pipes.
