César Manrique decided to create an underground level digging communication corridors inside the lava flow mass in order to connect the “bubbles” and convert them into parlours. The living rock appears in the upper part, and the walls have been whitewashed in the lower part; Fundación César Manrique, Tahíche (Lanzarote, Canary Islands).
